MissionThis organization exists to host an annual prayer breakfast event for Woodbury and the surrounding areas whereby leaders from business, government, education, and churches are assembled for the purpose of seeking divine guidance, to proclaim a call into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to renew a faith and dependence upon God.

Program


  • Organize all details for the morning of the event
  • Coordinate speaker & emcee, musicians, and other participants
  • Organize pre-event dinner


Prayer Team

  • Weekly prayer meetings for the 4-6 weeks before the event
  • Help advertise and distribute "Seek God for the City" prayer guides
  • Pray for prayer requests after the event

Church Relations

  • Serve as a liaison between the Woodbury Prayer Breakfast Steering Committee and the pastors of churches throughout the greater Woodbury area.
  • Provide the pastors and churches with the information they will need to appropriately inform those within their churches about the annual Prayer Breakfast, the monthly prayer gathering, and other appropriate information.
  • Serve as a spiritual leader for the WPB Steering Committee, leading through prayer, example and guidance.
  • Lead the prayer time at the Steering Committee banquet ahead of the annual breakfast.
  • Serve as a member of the WPB Steering Committee and attend periodic planning meetings in preparation for the annual prayer breakfast.

Facilities

  • Work closely with event facility's sales & operational staff
  • Define detailed requirements on event contract.
  • Ensure staging and tables are laid out according to plan.
  • Communicate pre-event requirements.
  • Work with Prom staff to coordinate last minute changes or requirements.

Finance

  • Prepare and propose annual budget
  • Pay bills
  • Maintain check book/bank account

Publicity

  • Coordinate design of and maintain WAPB website and Facebook page
  • Coordinate design and printing of registration form, poster, event program, and post-event thank you article
  • Write press releases & send to local media
  • Design sponsors letter
  • Communicate with local dignitaries regarding event details

Sponsorship

  • Secure sponsors for current and future year's events
  • Communicate with current and previous event sponsors
  • Make presentations throughout the community

Ticketing/Registration               

  • January/February – obtain Woodbury (and area communities) business list and update for mailing.
  • March – work on business and individual mailing of invitation to event.
  • February – May 1st – Receive and log all registrations including sponsorships.
  • April – May 1st – Work on seating at the event.
  • Day of Event – Manage the registration table to assure smooth and quick seating day of the event.
